True Colors - SOLD

I always love Carol Marine's challenges cause wow, do they ever challenge you to stay loose.

If you'd like to see what us Daily Painters (or almost daily when life doesn't get in the way) are up to, check out the DPW site to see all of our 'versions' of this.  You can always 'give it go' yourself as well.  I tell you it's not all that easy to stay loose.

Snuggle Bunny

A dear little rabbit holding her very soft and snugly blanket making all right with her world.

This artwork has painted sides exhibiting nicely leaning on a shelf or may be displayed on an easel which allows it to be easily moved to various rooms in your home.  Painted sides entertain a broader view of artwork as well.

Poppy Gorge - SOLD

"Poppy Gorge"

Poppies run a muck, gloriously falling over themselves to find spaces to grow.  Gorges, hillsides, rock crevices.  They are dazzling displays of color.  A great site is the Antelope Valley Poppy Preserve.  Plan to spend a day and picnic...

Peony Clusters - SOLD

With thoughts of Spring and actually having to get out in the courtyard to 'help' the plants renew by cutting back the old, I wanted to get a gorgeous Peony in.  Before opening up into an explosion of soft pastels, they are very pressed buds.

My grandmother loved them as well and had them lining a path to our door when I was growing up.  One day I noticed that black ants were all over the buds and asked her about it - oh the kids and the why questions...  Learned yet again another remarkable thing.  The ants help the buds to open.  Who knew?

Apples

I really truly had a dream about doing this very thing last night. THEN in my email today is your challenge. Whoa! Thanks Carol. I love being kept on my toes.

The first 3 took 8 minutes.  The last one, bottom left, took 4.  Yikes.  Talk about not overworking.  Carol is an awesome teacher!

Taking a Break - SOLD

After a long day of sightseeing in Paris, resting in Luxembourg Gardens was the best thing ever.  Much thanks (once again) to my good friend Claudia on Open Window blog for use of her amazing photography.
