Redwoods in Southern Oregon

I wasn't going to do this cause I look so dorky, but hey this stuff is waterproof and we needed that to say the least.  Even though it was a really wet day, we ventured out and explored and were glad of it.  The redwoods were awesome.  Yup, that's me standing inside the tree, wow!

Heading home early tomorrow with lots of great travel memories.  San Francisco was awesome!

This is just one of the most pleasant places on earth you could find yourself.  An accidental treasure find along the coast with all of the ingredients it takes to simply relax and just say ah-h!

Castle in the Sky - SOLD

I have to say this really is a castle in the sky as it's on the Hearst Estate where tours are given regularly. The mansion overlooks the ocean from the top of the mountain.  Truly an amazing place with grounds so large that herds of animals roam freely, yes free around the entire place. You park your car and are shuttled up to the mansion. I kid you not when I tell you that every single one us sounded like little children giggling with glee as we were all surprised when a herd went by as we were driving up to the mansion. We're never too old right!!!

Abundant Sunflowers - SOLD

Sunflowers in a field somewhere in France or Italy.  With that said, in my humble opinion it HAD to be very impressionistic.  Period!  This has gallery wrap painted sides btw, so when you walk around it the sides automatically connect you to the whole painting.

I love impressionistic works, it feels like jazz to me and I love jazz, not just the classic jazz, but phew there's so many different genres there as well right.  I think music and painting have so much in common it would be difficult to separate the two.

Fishing Pier - SOLD

My husband and I took a trip a couple of years ago when we had our MB Cruiser (a great Sprinter RV, skinny enough to go anywhere) up the coast on Rt. 1.  We hit Monterey Bay, Big Sur, saw just one tour of the Hearst Castle estate (awesome) and just stopped at some great campsites checked everything out, ate great food, and had an all together wonderful time.  We love camping.  We sold it awhile ago, but I took lots of photos as I'm certain everyone would, especially artist folk.  This one is from a pier in Monterey Bay.  I was going to call it the Love Shack from the song which is happy-go-lucky and fit the whole idea here, but well I didn't think some people would get it so I chickened out.  I love the texture and looseness of this work allowing some of the underpainting to show through, especially in the sky.

Still Holding Hands - SOLD

It is so refreshing and hopeful to see a couple who have obviously been together for a long period of time and know each other so well walking on the beach hand in hand.  After all that time, they're still 'in love'.  They still like each other.  Something to aim for I think...  And I'll bet many agree to agree.

Beach Pedaler - SOLD

I love this shot of a woman bicycling down to the beach.  You have to know she has a blanket, some wonderful tea or refreshing strawberry lemonade with perhaps a lovely fruit tart stowed on her cute little basket on the front.  What a wonderfully splendid day, a definite memory!

Les Parisiennes - SOLD

As everyone who knows me knows, I am a Francophile.  There's actually a write up for this, but I just prefer to say someone who loves all things french.  With this said, it should be no surprise that although my French isn't up to snuff by any means or standards, I still love to go there by any means possible.  ParisDailyPhoto's Eric Tenin who describes himself as a 'friendly Parisian' (yes, it does exist), was kind enough to permit me to use his photograph of these two finely coiffed Parisiennes walking, shopping, enjoying the day.
