I just love all of the wonderful and unique colors that I see 'literally everywhere' with water lilies. Floating on the surface, reflecting skies, trees, architecture. Seeing through to the 'other' side, the underwater side brings some abstracted shapes and colors to the viewer's eye as well. I can relate to the fascination Monet had with these strong yet ethereal beauties. And let's not forget to mention the flowers bloom...
I love your Lily paintings Barb. I think they are my favorites, yet I don't own one. How can that be? (My husband says it's something about having no more wall space. I don't get that... LOL) This one is lovely, and I agree - the blooms, the water's and light's plays with reflection... all a feast for the eyes and palettes!
