Low Tide - SOLD

This is the painting on exhibit for our local Open Studio Tour.  The attendance last night at the reception was really great...  "Low Tide", an 8 x 8 x 1.5, oil on canvas with painted sides sold last night for $275.00.  Artwork commissions/sales at the exhibit/tour is another way for artists to get communities involved, maybe teach a child a bit or at the least expose them to some art and how much fun it is to go to the right side of the brain.  Not to mention enjoying all of the wonderful people checking out the artist's studios and work.

Lots of art purchases were made, visits with friends and other artists were long overdue.  All in all 'a great evening'.  The tour itself is on the 23rd and 24th so I will be trying to snag pictures to post like I did last year.  All I have to do is remember, lol...

  4. Oh wow, this one reminds me of a cabin on a small lake in E. TX we went to every summer when I was a kid. The cabin sat on the part of the lake that narrowed down to a creek... and finally down to a drizzle that flowed on behind the cabin. Our small boat was tied to a tree, bobbed in the shallow water. Frogs and crickets and who knows what else sang me to sleep. It's a great memory. The painting is beautiful, Barb. No wonder it's sold!!
