Visiting the Northern parts of California during our trip, we happened upon a cozy little town that seemed very boatish for lack of a better description. They were all tied up/moored. It was a weekend so no doubt they would be getting a workout as soon as the rest of the town woke up. We arrived very early to see lots of setting up of tents. The rain wasn't going to deter this weekend's fun from happening.
The area reminded me a bit of the Rhode Island, upstate New York boating areas. We enjoyed the atmosphere here, both literally and figuratively as we had just come from the high desert sierras and the mists and water were a very pleasant change for us.
As summer here in Texas is just gearing up its hot, humid, breezeless self... to REALLY become hot, humid, and breezeless... oy! ...I can so appreciate the cool blue in this great painting. And those boats, "All Tied Up" just bobbing and swaying in that lapping water waiting to take someone on a fast, breezy ride... Thanks for the break, Barb!
