This piece was particularly fun for me to work. It was spontaneous. I had a panel at the ready for the next day designated for another composition. I didn't think about this 'at all'. It quite simply had to be painted and that was that. Glad I listened to my gut instinct and followed through.
I'm glad too, Barb!! It gives me, a great big over-thinker, some hope that creating beauty at its best... happens when the mind is set free.
ReplyDeleteYou were right to follow your instinct, thinking too much can often kill a painting! I like the life in this one, esp. in the backgound. And you've captured colour and feel of the grapes brilliantly - something I've never managed!
