Grape Cluster - NFS

This piece was particularly fun for me to work.  It was spontaneous.  I had a panel at the ready for the next day designated for another composition.  I didn't think about this 'at all'.  It quite simply had to be painted and that was that.  Glad I listened to my gut instinct and followed through.

  1. I'm glad too, Barb!! It gives me, a great big over-thinker, some hope that creating beauty at its best... happens when the mind is set free.

  2. You were right to follow your instinct, thinking too much can often kill a painting! I like the life in this one, esp. in the backgound. And you've captured colour and feel of the grapes brilliantly - something I've never managed!

  3. The looseness and lighting of this work is so refreshing. The background is completely unexpected, yet perfectly compliments the subject. Julie B loves this!
